THE CENTRE:
The Wine Centre “Alpujárride” is located in the Sierra de la Contraviesa. It has the highest and oldest oaks of the Iberian Peninsula, the “Haza del Lino” and hills where vineyards, almond and fig trees abound. Once there we can contemplate any extension of Sierra Nevada and at the turn around, we will see the Mediterranean Sea from Adra to the mountains flanking the town of Motril.

This place feels like stress immediately left behind … … the busy city life and daily routine.

The building, surrounded by 7 hectare immersed in the typical Mediterranean maquis organic vineyard, is influenced by the foundation of bioclimatic architecture, integrated into the environment and maintaining low energy consumption.

So, the building remains largely underground. The couple has strategic entrances with natural light will get a very cozy atmosphere.

INTERACTIVE MUSEUM:
Visitors can take a journey through the history of wine with two main characters: the Alpujarras and Granada Designation of Origin with wineries belonging to this denomination.

We will see the winemaking process, materials involved in its production, aging and bottling. Along the same will go through various sections where visitors can stimulate smell, taste, hearing, sight and touch, and can be a practical and entertaining idea how this interesting process.

This area has provided a place called “CLASS OF CHILDREN” so they can learn to become familiar with the culture of wine and stimulating your senses with the tastes, smells, colors and touches.
